The corpus's two spoken baptismal formulas. Alma's words over Helam at the waters of Mormon -- 'I baptize thee, having authority from the Almighty God' (Mosiah 18:13) -- and the Lord's prescribed words at Bountiful -- 'Having authority given me of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost' (11:25) -- both join 'having authority' to the performative 'I baptize'. The authority-clause survives; its source is re-specified from 'the Almighty God' to 'Jesus Christ,' and the naming of the three is now explicit. 'Having authority' stands at four verses in the record -- these two, Mosiah 18:18 ('having authority from God', there for ordaining priests, not the baptismal act), and Moroni 8:16 ('I speak with boldness, having authority from God') -- and at a fifth in the corpus, Matthew 7:29 (frozen NT canon; Matthew retired from the comparanda class at the NT freeze). The twin triad-unity clause ('the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one') follows two verses later at 11:27.
