Jacob's two-name naming convention (Jacob 1:14 collapses the seven tribal names of Jacob 1:13 into just Lamanites/Nephites by allegiance) finds a social fulfillment in 4 Ne 1:17: under the converted society the tribal distinctions dissolve entirely into 'one, the children of Christ'. The text states the fact -- 'nor any manner of -ites', standing at 4 Ne 1:17 alone corpus-wide; reading it as the fulfillment of Jacob's convention is the interpretive move, offered to weigh. The -ites are TRIBAL names, not persons -- no person-page links (no Jacobites->jacob-lehison, Zoramites->zoram, etc.); the tribal 'Zoramites' are not the Alma-31 apostates (zoramites.md). The dissolution is bracketed by the roster's disappearance and its return at 4 Ne 1:36-38 (see 4ne-cov-roster-returns).
