4 Nephi's golden age gives the reason for its long peace in the vision's own central vocabulary: 'the love of God which did dwell in the hearts of the people' (4 Nephi 1:15) read against the tree-gloss 'the love of God, which sheddeth itself abroad in the hearts of the children of men' (1 Nephi 11:22). The reading offered to weigh: the vision's central symbol (tree = love of God) is realized as a lived social condition in the golden age -- what the dreamer reached for and tasted is here simply dwelt in. Interpretive, not textual: the verbal contact is only common vocabulary. The phrase 'the love of God' recurs across the corpus -- 1 Nephi 11:22, 1 Nephi 11:25, Jacob 7:23, Mosiah 4:12, Alma 13:29, 4 Nephi 1:15, Mormon 3:12 (exact phrase; 2 Nephi 31:20's 'a love of God and of all men' is a loose-article variant of the same vocabulary) -- so it is not a distinctive fingerprint. The phrase 'dwell in the hearts' appears elsewhere of the opposite valence: Mosiah 3:6 ('the evil spirits which dwell in the hearts of the children of men'). Shared words therefore do NOT establish a deliberate citation; the through-line (vision-symbol -> lived reality) is the reading, not a link the text asserts.
