Helaman 5:9 · Mosiah 3:17
This connection's citations are checked against the source text.
The mark sits beside every quote a connection carries. It reports one thing: those words were found in the frozen source text at the reference this page cites, allowing only typographic differences such as curly quotes, dash forms and spacing.
It is not a tier signal, and it is not a judgment about the connection. Where a card carries the Interpretive badge, the reading is still offered with its evidence for you to weigh — the mark speaks only to the citations.
The badges and the mark are separate signals: Textual and Interpretive name the kind of claim a connection makes, while the mark reports that the connection's citations were checked.
First far-future NAMED citation of Benjamin in the later record: Helaman the son of Helaman (Alma 63:11; grandson of Alma — NOT Helaman Almason) teaches his sons Nephi and Lehi by reciting 'the words which king Benjamin spake unto his people' (Helaman 5:9, named tag verbatim -- quote opens 'O remember, remember, my sons, the words which king Benjamin spake unto his people'; not spliced). Helaman 5:9 condenses Mosiah 3:17's 'no other name given nor any other way nor means whereby salvation can come' to 'no other way nor means whereby man can be saved'. Helaman 5:9's 'atoning blood of Jesus Christ' likewise condenses Mosiah 3:18's 'atoning blood of Christ, the Lord Omnipotent'; 'atoning blood' occurs at exactly three verses in the corpus (Mosiah 3:18, 4:2, Helaman 5:9). The same 'no other… way nor means' doctrine is the other leg of the record alma-no-other-way (Alma 38:9 <-> Mosiah 3:17), not touched here. Tier: named tag + condensed-but-distinctive doctrine clause = textual (paraphrase of cited material, tier-3).
