Book of Mormon Helaman 8:15
"as many as should look upon that serpent should live, even so as many as should look upon the Son of God with faith, having a contrite spirit, might live, even unto that life which is eternal"
Book of Mormon Alma 33:19
"a type was raised up in the wilderness, that whosoever would look upon it might live. And many did look and live"

The look-and-live wilderness type, told a fourth time. Both move the same clause (look upon the raised thing and live) from the historical type to faith in the coming Son. Helaman 8:14 supplies the corpus's sole use of the noun 'brazen serpent' (Alma 33 calls it only 'a type'); the 'even so shall he be lifted up' shape echoes John 3:14 ('even so must the Son of man be lifted up'), now in-corpus (frozen). Non-duplicate of the registered serpent records: alma-serpent-look-perish (1 Ne 17:41 ↔ Alma 33:20) and alma-serpent-cast-eyes (2 Ne 25:20 ↔ Alma 33:21) — this pair uses Alma 33:19, the look-and-live verse those two leave unused. Alma 33:19 grounds the type in Moses, and the chapter in Zenock/Zenos (zenos.md).
