Internal mirror: the sealing-power grant to Nephi (10:8-10) is restated clause by clause in Mormon's editorial sermon on God's power over creation (12:13-21). The mountain clause is the firm mirror: 10:9's cast-down-and-smooth answers 12:17's raised-up-and-buried, and 10:9's 'become smooth' recurs at 12:10 ('broken up, and become smooth, yea, even like unto a valley') -- 'become smooth' stands at three corpus verses, these two and D&C 49:23 (recounted 2026-08-10 at the D&C freeze), which is likewise a mountains-made-low passage ending 'the rough places to become smooth', so the phrase is no longer confined to the mirrored pair. The record-internal mirror registered here is unaffected. Registered here as the tightest single-verse pair (the mountain clause). Jacob 4:6 ('command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea') is the doctrinal far end. The famine clause of the grant (10:6) is enacted at 11:4-17 (separate record, hel-nephi-famine-asked). Helaman 10:7's seal-on-earth/sealed-in-heaven carries the Matthew 16:19 (and 18:18) bind/loose form; that form has no antecedent within the record, and its carriers Matthew 16:19 and 18:18 are themselves in-corpus (frozen).
