Internal pair: the name outlives the founder. At 6:18 the band 'formed by Kishkumen and Gadianton' is 'called Gadianton's robbers and murderers'. At 11:24-26, after Nephi's prayer reports the band 'become extinct' with their plans 'concealed … in the earth' (11:10), a fresh insurgency of dissenters and Lamanites re-derives the order from those buried texts — they 'did search out all the secret plans of Gadianton; and thus they became robbers of Gadianton'. The order is shown to be an institution, not a person: it survives both its founders and its own extinction by re-derivation from its written texts.
