Both carry 'they call themselves of the holy city', and both close with the name-refrain in per-verse forms — 1 Nephi 20:2 'the Lord of Hosts is his name', Isaiah 48:2 'The LORD of hosts is his name' (two divine-name casings, neither collapsed into the other). Between these shared frames the sense is reversed by a single inserted negation: Isaiah reads 'and stay themselves upon the God of Israel' (a positive description); 1 Nephi reads 'but they do not stay themselves upon the God of Israel'.
