Moroni's latter-day catalog (Mormon 8:36–37) restates Nephi's latter-day-churches indictment (2 Nephi 28:12–13): corrupt churches prizing fine dress and adorned buildings above the poor. Paraphrase, not verbatim — 8:37 reads 'fine apparel' where 28:13 reads 'fine clothing'; 'fine apparel' is a 2-hit phrase (Mormon 8:36 'very fine apparel', 8:37), 'fine clothing' 1-hit (2 Nephi 28:13).
