The six-word purpose clause 'to stir them up in remembrance of' occurs at five verses in the corpus: 2 Nephi 5:25, Mosiah 1:17, Mosiah 6:3, Alma 4:19, Helaman 11:4. In both paired ends the stirring agent is a God-appointed affliction (Lamanite scourge / famine); at 6:3 Benjamin converts the device to teaching (priests appointed 'to stir them up in remembrance of the oath'); Helaman 11:4 binds it, like the paired ends, to a God-appointed affliction (famine). Mosiah 1:17's other formula is separately registered as mos-zeniff-famine-afflictions (different pair, zeniff.md). A near-variant also stands at 1 Nephi 2:24 - 'a scourge unto thy seed, to stir them up in the ways of remembrance' (the oracle 2 Nephi 5:25 restates, registered 2ne-ll-scourge).
