Mosiah 2:22 · 2 Nephi 1:20
This connection's citations are checked against the source text.
The mark sits beside every quote a connection carries. It reports one thing: those words were found in the frozen source text at the reference this page cites, allowing only typographic differences such as curly quotes, dash forms and spacing.
It is not a tier signal, and it is not a judgment about the connection. Where a card carries the Interpretive badge, the reading is still offered with its evidence for you to weigh — the mark speaks only to the citations.
The badges and the mark are separate signals: Textual and Interpretive name the kind of claim a connection makes, while the mark reports that the connection's citations were checked.
Royal-sermon form of the prosper-formula chain (registered ends: 1 Nephi 2:20, 2 Nephi 1:20, 2 Nephi 4:4, Jarom 1:9, Omni 1:6). Divergences: 'inasmuch as' becomes 'if'; the Lord's first person ('my commandments') becomes Benjamin's third person ('his commandments'); 'shall' becomes 2:22's 'would' and 'should' ('if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land'). Benjamin's wording carries 'in the land', matching Lehi's transmitted form (2 Nephi 1:20/4:4) rather than the original oracle (1 Nephi 2:20: 'ye shall prosper, and shall be led to a land of promise') - hence 2 Nephi 1:20 as the far end. Distinctive feature of 2:22 is the citation frame: where Jarom/Omni cite the formula as a word verified by past events, Benjamin cites it as a standing promise ('he has promised you') with a warranty clause ('he never doth vary from that which he hath said'). Supporting Mosiah ends carried in page prose, not registered: 1:7 ('keep the commandments of God, that ye may prosper in the land according to the promises which the Lord made unto our fathers') and 2:31 (the formula handed across the succession).
