Both texts end the whore-figure not by an external stroke but by her own confederates turning on her: in 1 Nephi 22:13 the great and abominable church wars among itself and its own sword falls on its own head; in Revelation 17:16 the ten horns that carried her hate her and burn her. The structural correspondence is the self-destruction of the persecuting power. There is no distinctive shared wording — the verbal overlap is limited to the whore-figure itself — which is why this is registered as interpretive. 1 Nephi 14:15 supplies the external half of the same picture ('the wrath of God was poured out upon that great and abominable church'), and Revelation 17:17 attributes the horns' turning to God putting it in their hearts, so both texts hold the two causes together; the reading that these are the same two-cause structure is offered for the reader to weigh, not asserted.
