Ether 13:3 · Revelation 21:2
This connection's citations are checked against the source text.
The mark sits beside every quote a connection carries. It reports one thing: those words were found in the frozen source text at the reference this page cites, allowing only typographic differences such as curly quotes, dash forms and spacing.
It is not a tier signal, and it is not a judgment about the connection. Where a card carries the Interpretive badge, the reading is still offered with its evidence for you to weigh — the mark speaks only to the citations.
The badges and the mark are separate signals: Textual and Interpretive name the kind of claim a connection makes, while the mark reports that the connection's citations were checked.
Both texts have a New Jerusalem descend out of heaven. 'New Jerusalem' stands at twenty verses in the corpus (recounted 2026-08-10 at the D&C freeze) — Ether 13:3, 13:4, 13:5, 13:6, 13:10; 3 Nephi 20:22, 21:23, 21:24; Moses 7:62; Articles of Faith 1:10; Revelation 3:12, 21:2; and D&C 42:9, 42:35, 42:62, 42:67, 45:66, 84:2, 84:4, 133:56 — and in the Bible only in Revelation. Variants reported, not scored: Ether has the city 'come down out of heaven,' Revelation 'coming down from God out of heaven'; Revelation adds the bride simile, which Ether does not carry; Ether attaches 'the holy sanctuary of the Lord' and locates the place on 'this land' (13:4, 13:6, 13:8), which Revelation does not. Ether 13:5 distinguishes the new city from the Jerusalem of old, a distinction Revelation 21 does not draw. The corpus gives no account of the parallel; origin outside this wiki's scope.
