Enos 1:18 leaves the fathers and their requests unnamed, and the corpus offers more than one candidate — 2 Nephi 25:21 (Nephi's preservation promise), 2 Nephi 29:2 (the Lord recalling promises to Nephi AND his father that 'the words of your seed should proceed forth … unto your seed'), and 2 Nephi 3:5/19-21 (Joseph of Egypt's obtained promise, which 25:21 itself says it fulfills); cf.
