The brass plates Mosiah carries into Zarahemla are identified by the same two designations used when Nephi first sought them from Laban — 'plates of brass' + 'record of the Jews' co-occur in a single verse at three places: these two ends and 1 Nephi 13:23, where the two phrases denote DIFFERENT records (the 'record of the Jews' Nephi beholds is the Bible-book, 'a record like unto the engravings which are upon the plates of brass'). Only at 1 Nephi 3:3 and Omni 1:14 do both designations name the one set of brass plates. Each phrase also recurs separately elsewhere; page discloses this.
