The revelation prefixes the title 'The light and the life of the world', which the gospel verse does not carry; that title stands at seven frozen verses, including 3 Nephi 9:18, 3 Nephi 11:11, and Mosiah 16:9. D&C 34:2 carries the same compound sentence with a comma where section 39 has a semicolon — disclosed, not separately paired.
