The mark sits beside every quote a connection carries. It reports one thing: those words were found in the frozen source text at the reference this page cites, allowing only typographic differences such as curly quotes, dash forms and spacing.

Three elements stand in both verses - beautiful garments, stakes strengthened, borders enlarged - and only in these two among the corpus's carriers of any of them. Divergences: person and mood, the exhortation being a second-person imperative to a hearer against the revelation's third-person statement of necessity; the exhortation addresses Jerusalem and calls Zion a daughter, the revelation addresses Zion directly; the exhortation's stated purpose, that the covenants may be fulfilled, has no counterpart in the revelation.
