The two share a five-word run, 'ever be with the Lord', and the whole shape of the sentence. Divergences: the letter's plural 'clouds' is singular in the prayer; the letter's 'to meet the Lord in the air' is 'to meet thee' in the prayer, which is addressing that same Lord directly and so uses the second person; and the letter's 'caught up together with them' drops the companions. D&C 109 is a prayer addressed to God, not a divine first-person address; the section's statements are the petitioners' and are reported as such.
