The announcement names the seer and the place and states as continuing what the older vision states as done: those under the altar 'cried with a loud voice' and asked 'dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?' at Revelation 6:10. Divergences: the older text's occupants are 'the souls of them that were slain', not 'martyrs'; the crying is past there and future here, and no four-word run stands verbatim in both. D&C 135 is an announcement about deaths already past, written in an announcing plural with no divine first person anywhere in the section; its claims are the announcers' and are attributed as such.
