3 Nephi 27:26 · 2 Nephi 29:11
This connection's citations are checked against the source text.
The mark sits beside every quote a connection carries. It reports one thing: those words were found in the frozen source text at the reference this page cites, allowing only typographic differences such as curly quotes, dash forms and spacing.
It is not a tier signal, and it is not a judgment about the connection. Where a card carries the Interpretive badge, the reading is still offered with its evidence for you to weigh — the mark speaks only to the citations.
The badges and the mark are separate signals: Textual and Interpretive name the kind of claim a connection makes, while the mark reports that the connection's citations were checked.
3 Nephi 27:23-26 restates the records-as-judgment doctrine that opened this complex at 2 Nephi 25:18 and was stated as law at 2 Nephi 29:11. The risen Lord commands the twelve: 'Write the things which ye have seen and heard' (27:23), 'Write the works of this people' (27:24), 'out of the books which have been written, and which shall be written, shall this people be judged' (27:25), 'all things are written by the Father; therefore out of the books which shall be written shall the world be judged' (27:26). TIGHTEST LEG: 'out of the books which shall be written' is verbatim-identical in 3 Nephi 27:26 and 2 Nephi 29:11, standing in the corpus at exactly those two verses; the continuations differ only in voice -- 'shall the world be judged' (27:26, of the Father) vs 'I will judge the world' (29:11, the Lord's first person). Nephi stated the law of plural records ('I command all men… that they shall write the words which I speak unto them; for out of the books which shall be written I will judge the world,' 29:11); the risen Lord re-issues the same command to the twelve, closing the write-and-be-judged frame the page has tracked since 2 Nephi 25:18. shared-phrasing, textual.
