'secret oaths' occurs at only 3 corpus verses (4 Nephi 1:42; Helaman 6:25; Helaman 6:26), so the contiguous 'secret oaths and' shared by 4 Nephi 1:42 and Helaman 6:26 is distinctive; 4 Nephi 1:42's object — 'the secret oaths and combinations of Gadianton' — names precisely what Helaman 6:26 says was 'put into the heart of Gadianton'. Far-end chosen on verbal-contact grounds over two other candidate records: (a) Helaman 11:26 (hel-sc-name-outlives-founder) — the re-derivation parallel to 4 Nephi's 'began again', shares 'of Gadianton' twice and 'secret plans of Gadianton', a strong structural match but a looser phrase; (b) 3 Nephi 6:28 (3ne-sc-cabal-devil-covenant) — shares only the combine/combinations root, no 'Gadianton', no 'secret oaths'. The decay-phase companion leg 4 Nephi 1:46 ('the robbers of Gadianton did spread over all the face of the land') is carried in the page prose, not separately registered — its tightest cross-book partner is Mormon 1:18, handled at morm-sc-robbers-collapse. 'began again to build up' mirrors the order's whole self-replication history on this page: buried (Helaman 11:10), re-derived (11:26), burned at Jacobugath (3 Nephi 9:9), rebuilt again here.
