Ether 15:11 · Mormon 6:6
This connection's citations are checked against the source text.
The mark sits beside every quote a connection carries. It reports one thing: those words were found in the frozen source text at the reference this page cites, allowing only typographic differences such as curly quotes, dash forms and spacing.
It is not a tier signal, and it is not a judgment about the connection. Where a card carries the Interpretive badge, the reading is still offered with its evidence for you to weigh — the mark speaks only to the citations.
The badges and the mark are separate signals: Textual and Interpretive name the kind of claim a connection makes, while the mark reports that the connection's citations were checked.
The Jaredite last stand at 'the hill Ramah' (Ether 15:11) is the same hill Mormon calls Cumorah, where he hid the records (Mormon 6:6): one hill, two names, two national extinctions - an identification the record itself states in one verse, in the abridger's own voice ('that same hill where my father Mormon did hide up the records'). The hill is named 'Ramah' only at Ether 15:11 in the record. 'Ramah' is otherwise a common place-name — a town in the land of Benjamin — appearing at some thirty-four verses across the frozen Old Testament (Joshua, Judges, 1 Samuel, 1 Kings, and Isaiah 10:29 among them); all are a different place from the Jaredite hill. The name 'Cumorah' is Mormon-only - 6 verses: Mormon 6:2, 6:4, 6:5, 6:6, 6:11, 8:2. Distinct verse-pairs from morm-few-plates-moroni (Mormon 6:6 <-> Words of Mormon 1:3) and morm-geo-cumorah-many-waters (Mormon 6:4 <-> Mosiah 8:8).
