The reportable divergence is the comparandum: Abinadi's face is likened to Moses' on Sinai (Mosiah 13:5), Nephi son of Helaman and Lehi's faces to angels (Helaman 5:36) - a reading the text itself supplies via Aminadab ('They do converse with the angels of God', Helaman 5:39). Both scenes share the durst-not-lay-their-hands setting (Mosiah 13:5; Helaman 5:25).
