This connection's citations are checked against the source text.
The mark sits beside every quote a connection carries. It reports one thing: those words were found in the frozen source text at the reference this page cites, allowing only typographic differences such as curly quotes, dash forms and spacing.
It is not a tier signal, and it is not a judgment about the connection. Where a card carries the Interpretive badge, the reading is still offered with its evidence for you to weigh — the mark speaks only to the citations.
The badges and the mark are separate signals: Textual and Interpretive name the kind of claim a connection makes, while the mark reports that the connection's citations were checked.
The resolve formula's third leg, and its only occurrence in another speaker's mouth. Sariah, receiving her sons back alive from Jerusalem, pronounces the formula fulfilled: 'the Lord hath protected my sons… and given them power whereby they could accomplish the thing which the Lord hath commanded them' (5:8) — between Nephi's statement of the creed before the errand (3:7) and his own later gloss on the completed journey (17:3). The verse itself flags the formulaic character of her speech: 'And after this manner of language did she speak' (5:8). Distribution: the clause 'accomplish the thing' occurs at exactly three corpus verses — 1 Nephi 3:7, 5:8, 17:3. Divergences from 3:7: the agent 'he' becomes 'the Lord'; 'may… commandeth' becomes 'could… hath commanded', the tense of a fulfillment report. Distinct verse-pair from the sibling record resolve-accomplish (1 Nephi 3:7 <-> 1 Nephi 17:3, same page), which carries the wilderness-narrative inclusio; no other record cites 1 Nephi 5:8. That Sariah's use is a deliberate confirmation of Nephi's creed is a reading left to weigh; the registered ground is the shared distinctive clause.
