Mormon's anti-infant-baptism epistle completes the little-children doctrine the angel states in seed in Benjamin's discourse. Benjamin relays the angel: 'even if it were possible that little children could sin they could not be saved; but… they are blessed; for behold, as in Adam, or by nature, they fall, even so the blood of Christ atoneth for their sins' (Mosiah 3:16). Mormon: 'little children are alive in Christ, even from the foundation of the world' (Moroni 8:12), because 'little children are whole, for they are not capable of committing sin; wherefore the curse of Adam is taken from them in me' (Moroni 8:8; the speaker is Christ — 8:7 introduces the words as revelation, 'the word of the Lord came to me by the power of the Holy Ghost, saying:', 8:8 opens with the imperative 'Listen to the words of Christ, your Redeemer' and runs first-person, 'the curse of Adam is taken from them in me'). The shared thing is doctrinal, not a long verbatim run: the two registered quotes share only the word 'Christ' verbatim; what binds them is the distinctive Adam-fall-reversed-in-Christ formula applied to the non-culpable, plus the shared premise that little children cannot sin -- Mosiah 3:16's hypothetical 'if it were possible that little children could sin' negated in Moroni 8:8's 'not capable of committing sin'. The Adam-side literal anchor is 'as in Adam… they fall' (Mosiah 3:16) against 'the curse of Adam is taken from them in me' (Moroni 8:8). The become-as-a-little-child exhortation stands at exactly three verses in the record -- Mosiah 3:18; 3 Nephi 11:37, 11:38 (registered at 3ne-kb-become-little-child); corpus-wide the frozen Matthew 18:3 is a fourth -- and Moroni 8:10's 'humble themselves as their little children' is a DIFFERENT construction ('humble… as' not 'become as'), outside that count.
