Alma 45:11's Nephite-extinction prophecy and Nephi's vision describe the same Nephite destruction. The same-future witness in Nephi's vision is the Nephites being overpowered (1 Ne 12:19-20); the phrase 'dwindle in unbelief' (1 Ne 12:22) is the angel's word for the SURVIVING seed of the brethren AFTER that destruction (12:23's sequel), not the Nephites. Whether Alma's wording depends on Nephi's record the text does not say. Sealed prophecy (45:9 secrecy command reported factually); the Mormon-side fulfillment leg is registered as morm-alma-extinction-fulfilled (Mormon 8:7 <-> Alma 45:11, interpretive, alma-the-younger.md) -- the destruction at Cumorah (Mormon 6-8); 45:14's 'save it be a few… disciples' fine print is honestly left OPEN there (Mormon 8:10 has the disciples withdrawn by the Lord, not pursued to extinction).
