Moroni's own-voice confirmation of what Helaman 6:28 had asserted but could only point forward to. The Helaman genealogy claimed the tower-people were 'dragged … down to an entire destruction' by the same being who fathered the oaths, and hel-sc-tower carried that as a forward-watch; Ether 8:21 now lands it: the combinations 'have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking' -- the tower-migrant Jaredites whose bones Omni 1:22 reports 'scattered in the land northward'. This record covers ONLY the Jaredite half of 8:21. The verse's second half -- 'and also the destruction of the people of Nephi' -- is carried as page prose with cross-links to the Mormon-era material (this page's own 'Into the collapse' section and mormon.md / moroni.md), and is deliberately NOT given a new record, because the morm- records register the Nephite-extinction FACT (morm-alma-extinction-fulfilled, Mormon 8:7 <-> Alma 45:11, interpretive tier), not the secret-combinations CAUSATION half, which has no registered home.
